Spanish K-5

Gloria Dei Lutheran School elementary students have Spanish one time each week. The Spanish classes are provided with exciting learning materials enabling the Spanish curriculum to be rich and varied.

The students learn about Spanish language and Hispanic culture using thematic vocabulary units, conversation, dance, music, art, games, educational movies, crafts, geographical exercises, bilingual books, computer programs and Powerpoint presentations.

Middle School Spanish

6th Grade

Spanish for the 6th grade class meets one day each week during the fall semester.  This class introduces the students to Spanish using educational videos.  The interactive web based curriculum for this class provides the beginning student with entertaining scenarios that teach vocabulary, grammar and conversation. The curriculum also fosters the skills of listening and speaking and it contains many amusing and interesting activities that teach the students with the necessary repetition needed to acquire a foreign language.  This 6th grade Spanish class is a good introduction to Middle School Spanish as it transitions the students into the High School level Spanish offered at Gloria Dei Lutheran School in the 7th and 8th grades.

7th & 8th Grade Spanish
